ASCOT Races
A race-day at Ascot moves between long stretches of anticipation and a few seconds of noise and speed, and both are worth photographing. One of the most famous racecourses in the world, rich in history and heritage, Ascot puts the tension of the parade ring, the thunder of the home straight and the style of the crowd all within a few hundred metres of each other. I was there as part of a university photography group, working with the same access as the press photographers, which was a brilliant lesson in covering an event at that scale.
